SUPER BULKY #6 WEIGHT YARN: 120 - 130 yards
GAUGE: 8.5 - 9 stitches = 4 inches in garter stitch
KNITTING NEEDLES: US 13 (9.0 mm)
FINISHED SIZE: one size - 9" wide x 29" long
SKILL LEVEL: Easy
You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, knit two stitches together, do a “yarn over” for the button hole, read a row by row knitting pattern, bind off stitches and weave in ends.
BUTTON: Choose a large, attractive button to make your cowl distinctive. (Approximately 1.5” button.)
SUPER BULKY #6 WEIGHT YARN SUGGESTIONS:
This pattern will work well with many super bulky yarns in both solid and variegated colorways. However, I do not recommend chenille style yarns because the soft yarn does not have the stitch definition to show off the pattern.
